In short
- You are an independent business. You choose when to go online, which jobs to accept and which other platforms to work with.
- You provide your own vehicle, licence and insurance — including ride-share or commercial coverage where your province or insurer requires it.
- You are paid per completed job, less the platform service fee shown in your city’s rate card, with payouts through our payout partners.
- Mandatory documents must stay valid. Expired documents suspend your account automatically until renewed.
This summary is for convenience only — the full agreement below is what applies.
1.Parties & acceptance
Store Partners: the dedicated Store Partner Agreement governs your relationship with Streetfast and prevails over this document where they differ.
This Partner Agreement (“Agreement”) is between Streetfast Inc., a corporation incorporated under the laws of Alberta, Canada (“Streetfast”, “we”), and you, the individual or business that registers to provide services through the Streetfast platform as a Captain or Store Partner (“Partner”, “you”).
By tapping “Accept” in the Captain app or Store Partner panel, or by going online, accepting a job or listing items for sale, you agree to this Agreement, the Privacy Policy and any city-specific rate card or supplemental terms shown to you in the app (together, the “Partner Terms”). If you accept on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind it. If you do not agree, do not use the platform as a Partner.
We may amend the Partner Terms. Changes to rate cards take effect on the date shown in the app, with at least 14 days’ notice. Other material changes take effect 30 days after notice in the app or by email. Continuing to provide services after the effective date constitutes acceptance; if you do not agree you may terminate under section 16.
2.Definitions
- Captain
- An independent driver or courier providing Rides and/or Deliveries using their own bike, auto or car.
- Store Partner
- An independent merchant selling food, grocery or retail items to Customers through the platform.
- Customer
- A user of the Streetfast rider app or website who requests a Ride, Delivery or Order.
- Job
- A Ride, Delivery or Order offered to a Partner through the platform.
- Platform
- The Streetfast apps, partner panel, dispatch, pricing, payment and support systems.
- Service Fee
- The percentage or fixed fee Streetfast retains from each completed Job for use of the Platform, as published in your city’s rate card.
- Mandatory Documents
- For Captains: driver’s licence, vehicle registration, vehicle insurance, police/criminal-record check and, where required by the city, an emissions or safety certificate. For Store Partners: business registration, food-handling or other licences required for the goods sold, and proof of commercial insurance.
- Service Zone
- A configured city area within which Jobs can be requested and performed.
3.Independent relationship
You are an independent contractor and business, not an employee, agent, joint venturer or partner of Streetfast. Nothing in this Agreement creates an employment relationship or entitles you to wages, benefits, vacation pay or other employee entitlements. Streetfast does not control the manner or means by which you perform Jobs.
- You decide when to go online and for how long. There is no minimum number of hours, shifts or Jobs.
- You decide which Jobs to accept. Each Job is offered on a first-to-accept basis and you may decline without penalty, subject to section 10 on acceptance-rate transparency.
- You are free to provide services through other platforms or directly to your own customers at any time, including while online with Streetfast.
- You provide and pay for your own equipment — vehicle, phone, data plan, fuel or charging, maintenance, and for Store Partners your premises, staff and inventory.
- You are responsible for your own taxes, remittances and filings (section 8) and for complying with all laws that apply to your business.
Streetfast’s role is to provide the Platform: to connect you with Customers, calculate and display prices, collect payment on your behalf, and remit your earnings. Where you accept a Job, you enter into a direct service contract with the Customer; Streetfast is not a party to that contract other than as your limited payment collection agent.
4.Eligibility & onboarding
Captains
To be activated as a Captain you must:
- be at least 21 years old (18 for bike couriers) and legally entitled to work in Canada;
- hold a valid Alberta driver’s licence of the class required for your vehicle (Class 5 non-GDL or better for car rides), with the minimum driving experience set for your city;
- register a vehicle you own or are authorised to use, meeting the age, condition and category requirements for your city and vehicle type, and upload its registration certificate;
- hold and upload proof of valid vehicle insurance meeting section 9;
- complete identity verification (government ID and selfie) through our verification vendor;
- consent to and clear a criminal-record and vulnerable-sector check through our background-check vendor, or upload a police clearance letter for manual review where the vendor is not available in your market;
- upload any additional document required by your city (for example an emissions or safety standards certificate); and
- provide your Social Insurance Number and bank account details for tax reporting and payouts.
Store Partners
To be activated as a Store Partner you must provide your legal business name, address and registration, the licences and permits required for the goods you sell (including food-handler and public-health certification for food businesses), proof of commercial insurance meeting section 9, contact persons, and bank account details for payouts. A food-business Store Partner must be in good standing with Alberta Health Services (Environmental Public Health).
Verification and renewal
Streetfast (or its vendors) reviews Mandatory Documents before activation and may re-verify at any time. You must keep every Mandatory Document valid and upload renewals before expiry. We send reminders in advance; if a Mandatory Document passes its expiry date your account is suspended automatically until a valid replacement is verified. You must tell us within 48 hours of any change that affects your eligibility, including licence suspension, insurance cancellation, a change of vehicle, a criminal charge or conviction, or a public-health order affecting your premises.
Streetfast stores the outcome status of background checks (not the record contents), the vendor reference and completion date. We may decline to activate, or may deactivate, a Partner whose check is flagged, in accordance with our safety standards and applicable human-rights law.
5.Platform access
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Captain app or Store Partner panel solely to provide services under this Agreement. Your account is personal to you (or your registered business). You may not let anyone else operate under your Captain account, and every Job must be performed by the verified Captain using the registered vehicle. Store Partner staff accounts may be created for named employees; you are responsible for their use of the panel.
You may not: copy, modify or reverse-engineer the Platform; use bots, scripts or multiple devices to manipulate dispatch, ratings or incentives; take Customers off-platform for a Job that was matched on the Platform; or use the Platform for any unlawful purpose. Location services must remain on in the Captain app while you are online — this is how Jobs are dispatched and how Customers see progress.
6.Captain services
Accepting and performing Jobs
When online you will receive Job offers showing the pickup location, approximate distance and the estimated earnings. Once you accept, you agree to proceed to the pickup promptly, complete the Job as requested and follow the in-app flow (arrive, start, complete). You may cancel an accepted Job for a legitimate reason — Customer no-show after the free waiting time, safety concern, an item that does not match its declaration — but repeated cancellation after acceptance harms Customers and may lead to review under section 13.
Standards of service
- Drive lawfully and safely at all times; never use a handheld phone while driving, and never drive impaired.
- Carry only the Customer and their companions up to the vehicle’s legal capacity; do not carry unrelated passengers or combine unrelated Jobs unless the Platform batches them.
- Keep the registered vehicle clean, roadworthy and matching the details shown to Customers (make, model, colour, plate).
- Treat Customers, Store Partners and the public with courtesy and without discrimination on any ground protected by human-rights law, including refusing service to a person with a service animal.
- Handle parcels and orders with care; capture proof of delivery (photo and, where requested, signature) at handover; verify government ID for age-restricted items and do not hand them over without it.
- Follow Streetfast’s community and safety guidelines as updated in the app.
Teen and senior rides
Rides for managed family members are offered only to Captains who meet additional experience, rating and check requirements. If you are eligible and accept such a ride, you agree to verify the rider’s PIN before starting and to follow the additional protocol shown in the app.
Cash Jobs
Where cash is enabled in your city, Customers may pay you directly. You collect the fare shown in the app and Streetfast’s Service Fee on that Job becomes a balance you owe us, netted against your card earnings at payout. If your cash balance owed exceeds the threshold published for your city, you are automatically excluded from further cash Jobs until it is settled.
7.Store Partner services
Listings and pricing
You control your menu or catalogue, prices, item descriptions, photos, availability and opening hours in the Store Partner panel, and you are solely responsible for their accuracy — including allergen and ingredient information, age restrictions and compliance with labelling law. Prices you list may not be higher than your in-store prices for the same items unless the rate card for your city permits a stated markup.
Order handling
You must accept or decline each Order promptly within the time shown in the panel. Once accepted, prepare it within your stated preparation time, package it securely and hand it to the Captain or to the Customer (for pickup). If an item is unavailable, offer a substitute or remove it and refund its price through the panel before the Captain arrives. Repeated late, missing or incorrect Orders may lead to review under section 13.
Food safety and regulatory compliance
You are solely responsible for the quality, safety, fitness and legality of everything you sell, and for compliance with food-safety, public-health, licensing, consumer-protection and tax laws. Streetfast monitors public-health feeds where available; a Store Partner reported as closed by public health is suspended automatically until reinstated.
Refunds and disputes
Where a Customer reports a missing, wrong or unsatisfactory item, Streetfast will assess the claim using order records, proof-of-delivery evidence and your response, and may issue a refund or credit. Refunds attributable to the Store Partner (wrong or missing items, quality) are deducted from your payout; refunds attributable to the Captain or the Platform are not.
8.Fees, payments & taxes
Earnings
For each completed Job you earn the amount calculated under your city’s rate card — for Captains, the Customer fare (base, distance, time, waiting time, any busy-area fee and applicable tolls) less the Service Fee; for Store Partners, the item price less the Service Fee. Tips added by Customers are paid to Captains in full and are not subject to the Service Fee. Every Job’s earnings breakdown is shown in the app, and the exact rate configuration used is recorded so any amount can be reproduced on request.
Rate cards and Service Fees vary by city, service and vehicle type and are published in the app. Wait & Save and other discounted Customer fares do not reduce the Captain’s standard earnings for the Job.
Payment collection and payouts
You appoint Streetfast as your limited payment collection agent to collect Customer payments on your behalf. Payment received by Streetfast is treated as payment received by you. Earnings are paid out to your registered bank account through our payout partner (Stripe Connect or PayPal in Canada) on the schedule shown in the app — daily cash-out where available, otherwise weekly — net of Service Fees, cash balances owed, adjustments, refunds attributable to you and any amounts you owe under this Agreement. You must complete the payout partner’s onboarding and agree to its terms.
Adjustments and chargebacks
We may adjust earnings to correct errors, reverse fraudulent or manipulated Jobs, or reflect a Customer chargeback caused by your conduct. We will show every adjustment in your earnings statement with the reason, and you may dispute it through support within 30 days.
Taxes
You are responsible for all taxes on your earnings, including income tax and — where you are or must be registered — collecting and remitting GST/HST or provincial sales tax on the services you provide. Streetfast collects and remits tax on its own Service Fee and, where the law requires a platform operator to do so, on Customer fares. We collect your SIN (or business number) to issue annual tax information as required by the Canada Revenue Agency and store it encrypted.
9.Insurance
Captains
You must maintain, at your own cost, valid motor vehicle liability insurance for every vehicle you use on the Platform that (a) meets or exceeds the minimum coverage required by law in your province; (b) covers use of the vehicle for ride-sharing, delivery or other commercial purposes — through a ride-share endorsement, a commercial policy, or a policy that your insurer confirms in writing covers such use; and (c) names you as an insured driver. A personal auto policy without such coverage does not satisfy this requirement, and a claim denied for that reason is your responsibility.
You must upload your insurance certificate at onboarding and each renewal, showing insurer, policy number, coverage description, named insureds and expiry. Streetfast records these details and may ask your insurer to confirm coverage.
Streetfast coverage while you are on the platform
Streetfast may arrange contingent commercial coverage through a licensed insurer for Captains in Alberta for periods when you are online or on a Job. Where such coverage is in place for your city and vehicle type, it is described in the app under Account → Insurance, together with the insurer’s certificate and policy wording. Coverage typically varies by your status in the Captain app — offline (no Streetfast coverage), online and waiting for a Job, and from Job acceptance to completion — with the broadest protection applying only while you are on an accepted Job.
Important limits. Any Streetfast-arranged coverage:
- is secondary and contingent — it responds only after your own insurance has been claimed against and declined or exhausted;
- is subject to the insurer’s own terms, limits, deductibles and exclusions, and every claim is assessed and validated by the insurer on a case-by-case basis. Streetfast does not decide, guarantee or fund claims and makes no representation that any particular incident will be covered;
- applies only if you were compliant with this Agreement at the time — online through the Captain app, on the registered vehicle, with valid Mandatory Documents and not in breach of section 6;
- does not extend optional endorsements from your personal policy, and does not include physical damage to your own vehicle unless the insurer’s wording expressly says so; and
- never replaces your obligation to hold ride-share or commercial coverage under this section. If your own insurer denies a claim because you lacked such coverage, that loss is your responsibility.
Streetfast may change, suspend or withdraw arranged coverage on notice in the app, including where the insurer changes its terms. The insurer’s policy wording prevails over this section and any summary in the app.
Parcel protection
Customers’ parcels may be protected under Streetfast’s parcel protection programme from handover to delivery, on the terms shown to the Customer at booking. Where loss or damage results from your negligence or breach of section 6, Streetfast may recover amounts it paid from your earnings after review and notice.
Claims and incidents
You must report any collision, injury, property damage or safety incident occurring during a Job to Streetfast through the app (Safety → Report an incident) within 24 hours and to your own insurer as your policy requires, cooperate with Streetfast, its insurers and adjusters in any investigation, and not make any admission on Streetfast’s behalf. Streetfast may share trip records, route and timing with insurers and adjusters to resolve a claim. Claims under any Streetfast-arranged coverage are submitted to, assessed by and decided by the insurer; Streetfast’s role is limited to confirming your app status and trip records at the time of the incident.
10.Ratings, tiers & incentives
Customers rate each Job. Your rolling average rating, acceptance rate and cancellation rate are shown to you in the app. Eligibility for premium trip categories and teen rides is determined automatically from rating, vehicle age and inspection status. Captain tiers (bronze, silver, gold, platinum) are upgraded automatically when trip-volume and rating thresholds are met; downgrades are not automatic and follow review. Any decision to restrict or deactivate an account on the basis of rating or acceptance rate is made by our team, recorded, and communicated to you with the reason.
We may offer incentives — quests, bonuses, Street Hours guarantees, fuel or referral credits. Each incentive’s terms (period, zone, targets, amount) are stated in the app when offered. Rewards are credited automatically when targets are met. We may withhold or reverse an incentive obtained through fraud, manipulation or breach of this Agreement.
11.Data & privacy
We collect and use your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy, including your live location while online (held in short-lived memory), your route on each completed Job, your documents (stored in restricted-access storage) and your encrypted banking and SIN details.
Customer information you receive through the Platform — names, addresses, phone numbers, order contents, delivery photos — is confidential. You may use it only to perform the Job, must not store it outside the app, contact the Customer for any other purpose, or share it with anyone. Delete any Customer information you have incidentally retained once the Job is complete. Store Partners must handle Customer information in compliance with PIPEDA and applicable provincial law.
Streetfast may record in-app chat and route masked phone calls for safety and dispute resolution. You consent to Streetfast contacting you by SMS, push, email and phone about Jobs, documents, earnings and safety.
12.Brand & intellectual property
The Platform, the Streetfast name, logos and marks are owned by Streetfast. You may use Streetfast-provided materials (decals, bags, signage, digital badges) only as instructed in the app and must return or destroy them on termination. You may not register domains, social accounts or businesses using the Streetfast name, or imply that you are an employee or representative of Streetfast. Store Partners grant Streetfast a licence to display their name, logo, menu, photos and prices in the Platform for the purpose of taking Orders.
13.Suspension & deactivation
Certain suspensions are applied automatically by the Platform, after advance reminders where applicable: expiry of a Mandatory Document; a public-health closure report; exceeding the cash balance threshold. These lift automatically when the underlying condition is resolved.
Streetfast may also suspend or deactivate your account following review by our team where we reasonably believe you have: breached this Agreement or our community guidelines; behaved unsafely, unlawfully or abusively; committed fraud or manipulated the Platform; allowed another person to use your account; failed a re-verification or background check; or where required by law or a regulator. Where safety is at risk we may suspend immediately while we investigate.
Except where prohibited by law or safety, we will tell you the reason for a suspension or deactivation and how to appeal. Appeals are submitted through the app and reviewed by a person not involved in the original decision. All such decisions are recorded in our audit log.
14.Indemnity
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Streetfast, its affiliates and their officers, directors, employees and agents from and against all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, fines and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your performance of Jobs, including any injury, death, property damage or loss caused by you or your vehicle; (b) the goods you sell, including food-safety or product-liability claims; (c) your breach of this Agreement or of any law, licence, insurance or tax obligation; (d) your failure to maintain the insurance required by section 9; (e) any claim by your employees, staff or subcontractors; and (f) any claim that you are an employee of Streetfast, to the extent permitted by law.
15.Limitation of liability
The Platform is provided “as is”. Streetfast does not guarantee the availability of Jobs, any minimum level of earnings, or that the Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Streetfast is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive or consequential damages, including lost income, arising out of this Agreement or your use of the Platform, and Streetfast’s total liability to you for all claims in any twelve-month period shall not exceed the total Service Fees Streetfast retained from your Jobs in that period.
These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, or to Streetfast’s obligation to pay you earnings properly due under section 8.
16.Term & termination
This Agreement starts when you accept it and continues until terminated. You may terminate at any time by closing your Partner account in the app or by written notice. Streetfast may terminate on 30 days’ notice for any reason, or immediately under section 13. On termination: you must complete or return any Job in progress; we will pay out earnings properly due, less amounts you owe, on the next payout cycle; you must stop using the Platform and Streetfast materials; and sections 3, 8 (amounts owed), 11, 12, 14, 15, 17 and 18 survive.
17.Dispute resolution
Support first. Raise earnings, adjustment or account issues through in-app support. Unresolved disputes may be escalated to Partner Operations through in-app support; we will acknowledge within 5 business days and aim to resolve within 30 days.
Governing law and courts. This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Subject to any non-waivable right you have to bring a claim before a tribunal or court in your own province, the courts of Alberta have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of this Agreement, and each party attorns to their jurisdiction. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
18.General
- Entire agreement. The Partner Terms are the entire agreement between you and Streetfast regarding the Platform and supersede prior agreements.
- Severability and waiver. Invalid provisions are enforced to the extent permitted and the rest remain in force; failure to enforce a right is not a waiver.
- Assignment. You may not assign this Agreement. Streetfast may assign it to an affiliate or successor on notice.
- Subcontracting. Captains may not subcontract Jobs. Store Partners may use their own employees but remain fully responsible for them.
- Notices. By in-app notice, push, SMS or email to the contact details on your account, and to Streetfast at the address in section 17 or by post to Streetfast Inc., Attn: Partner Operations, Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
- Language. This Agreement is in English; where a translation is provided, the English version prevails to the extent permitted by law.
- Force majeure. Neither party is liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
19.Acceptance record
When you accept this Agreement in the app, Streetfast records the Agreement version, the date and time of acceptance, your account identifier and the IP address and device from which you accepted. A copy of the version you accepted is available in the app under Account → Legal, and you may request it from support at any time. Re-acceptance is required when a new version takes effect.
